Collie Rescue League of New England is a judgment-free organization that exists for the sole purpose of benefiting the lives of collies. Our volunteer team helps collies by providing them with foster care and matching them with loving families. We welcome into our homes collies who find themselves in shelters or who have been surrendered by owners who can no longer care for them. We carry out a thorough review process for every adoption application submitted for our collies, including reference checks and a home visit, in order to partner the right collie with the right loving family.
If you seek to surrender your collie to CRLNE, we will inquire about your reasons for doing so to help us learn about the collie’s background and needs.
If you’re seeking to surrender your collie because of behavioral or medical issues, we may be able to help. Occasionally we are able to find a resolution to these issues and owners don’t have to surrender their collies to us. We understand how difficult the decision to re-home your collie is and will work closely with you in what’s best for your collie and your family.
The collies we care for come from an array of backgrounds, and they are by and large wonderful pets with great temperaments. Most of them come from loving families experiencing a life change that will make having a collie unmanageable. In instances like these we understand an owners’ desires for providing the best life possible for their collie.
Our foster families open their homes and hearts to care for CRLNE collies. Each collie is vetted, groomed and evaluated to determine if training is needed. They remain in foster care until we find their forever family.
